An Alley Find

Stop by and visit Southern Hospitality

Disclaimer: I don’t cruise the alleys searching for a “treasure”. If one reveals itself, I’m open to all possibilities.

Spring walk in garden 019

Sorry I don’t have a “before” picture. I was too anxious to give it a new look and I did need another chair on the patio. First I sprayed a base coat of cream enamel for extra protection, then I found an old can of spray paint in a pleasant light turquoise color and got just the “pop” I wanted. I also just happened to have an old pillow that looks as if it were made for the chair. I surely didn’t want a new one . I think it is necessary to have a place to set your iced tea, soooo, viola! an old fern stand that I had painted several years ago with the same turquoise paint (probably the same can) Perfect!

  4. What a great find! I am loving the color turquoise lately. Someone was getting rid of 3 chairs like that, a block away, and it was SO hard to just keep driving. But I already have 3, so I decided to leave them for someone else!

  7. Awww, I love that aqua chair, it is too cute. Thanks for joining the party today. Do you want me to show you how to do live links?? It's really easy. When you are doing your post, type the name you want to show for the link. Go over to the actual url itself & highlight the url & copy it, then come back to your post, highlight the word or words you want to link "live" like my button OR Southern Hospitality, then open up the link icon on your post. It looks like a little paperclip thing. Open that box up and paste the link there. Then your link will be LIVE. Once you try it, it's really easy. You can live link pictures or words, either one. Just use that icon on your post & you can link anything you want. You just have to remember to copy the url first and then paste it.

  8. Rhoda, Another teachable moment! Are you not the kindest one to take the time to walk me through this. As I have told you before, it is a miracle that I am doing this blog. Your help is greatly appreciated and I will do it! I love how much easier it is to do pictures with Windows Live Writer. Thanks for all your help.
