Catfish are so weird!
I can’t remember ever catching a catfish. I never wanted to catch one because I don’t like their mouths! I wasn’t trying to catch one. I had a bream hook (small) and a live worm. Who knew this would attract anything but a bream? Well, hello! Oh my gosh, what do I do with it? After I struggled to snap a picture and hold it at the same time, I got enough nerve to get the hook out and toss him back in the river. Now, all you catfish, stay away from my bream hook!![]()

Not sure I want a Kindle…..
One of my greatest fears is that I will die before I read everything I want to read!
No kidding, I can still remember the excitement of learning to read, the Book -Mobile and my school library. I used to take a flashlight to bed and read under the covers. This was in elementary school. My favorite books during that time were biographies. I still enjoy those.
I’m a “dead duck” if I go into Books-A- Million. It’s like a cheap drunk! I can spend hours there and never come out empty-handed. As much fun as that is, I have found some wonderful books at my favorite thrift store too.
I am comforted by my books. I like to have lots of them around me. Most of them I cannot part with.
Beautifully illustrated children’s books are an important part of my collection. I have books I bought in Ireland, Scotland, Wales. Yep, wagged them all over the world! Maybe my grandchildren will want them for their children? In reality, they will probably go into the gigantic yard sale they will have when I’m gone.
I have some antique, first editions that I treasure. Oh, the tales they could tell…
I love the feel of a nice, hardback book, a novel that lasts for a few days. There is also value in a paperback that will fit in my purse.
I read all kinds of books and have this “thing” about having to finish any book I start.
One of the few benefits of getting older is that I can read the same book twice and never know it!
I don’t know if a Kindle is in my future, however, my bookcases are full. I guess I could start over…

Some Things Are “Just For The Moment”
Oh, my gosh! These ginger lilies will only be this wonderful today, but some things are just for the moment. I walked out in my garden this morning and there they were! I have enjoyed them all day and my whole house smells wonderful.

Just One More Late Summer Stroll In The Garden…..
![]()
Ginger lilies…so wonderfully fragrant, and such a gift at the end of Summer.
Mexican Petunia
I have a love-hate relationship with this guy!
Could you use some basil?
I couldn’t resist one more picture of these petunias! They have bloomed and bloomed…
Looks like we will have Fall cucumbers.
This will be food for my soul in January when it is so cold, gray, and dreary!
