“Praying by Hand”

I have collected rosaries for years.  Many of them have stories.  Many come from different countries.  Some are quite beautiful and many are very simple and plain.

In his book, Praying by Hand, M. Basil Pennington refers to the rosary as “a method, an instrument, of prayer.”  I like that.

An aid to Christian prayer, the rosary is a very simple way to pray, yet it is one that can be used in many different ways.  I love the idea of using the rosary to recall us into His presence should our attention start to wander.
